LIPOSOMAL PRODUCT MANUFACTURING QUALITY

In fact, our liposomes are optimised to such an extent that they can pass undamaged through the stomach and digestive tract. The ultra-small lipid vesicles also remain entirely intact during storage. Avestin equipment
We use high-end Avestin equipment that enables us not only to homogenise liposomes, but also to ‘extrude’ them. Extrusion is a process which involves forcing ultra-small lipid suspensions through a membrane that has a fixed pore size. All the resulting liposomal vesicles then have similarly small dimensions, which improves the stability of the liposome formulation. Thanks to its improved stability, the product can then be stored intact for longer periods. We are always happy to advise you on the nano dimensions of the most appropriate pore size.

OTHER ADVANCED LIPID FORMULATIONS
Next to liposome technology, LIPOSOMA Research & Development team has built up strong expertise in the manufacturing of other advanced lipid formulations. For food supplements that require a high encapsulation efficiency, NLCs offer an advantage above liposome technology. NLCs can also hold very poorly soluble ingredients, that tend to precipitate, in amorphous phase, hereby increasing the absorption and bioavailability of the active ingredients. NUCLEIC ACID CONTAINING LIPID NANOPARTICLES
LIPOSOMA has extended its portfolio by manufacturing LNPs which are specifically designed to encapsulate nucleic acids, like mRNA, siRNA and DNA. By using specific charged phospholipids these LNPs protect the nucleic acid and efficiently transfect cells in vivo and in vitro. The nucleic acid is delivered intracellular to modulate gene expression in the target cells or to induce a robust immune response.
